Excellent Tutorial was established by Sri Amitava Misra, a State Bank employee at Bengali Tola, Samastipur (Bihar) on 10.01.1989. Later he opened a branch in Patna. Finally he took VRS , came to Kolkata and opened a branch at Jadavpur and at Dumdum.

Profit making is secondary, the main motto of Excellent Tutorial is to impart flawless and state-of-the art coaching to the students who aspire for Public sector Bank jobs. Being a successful banker and having a coaching experience of 25 years, Mr. Misra knows better how to prepare, what to prepare and also the short-cut techniques to crack the exam.

Exam pattern of IBPS PO

IBPS PO Exam is conducted in three phases: Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Interview. It is mandatory for a candidate to clear each level of examinations to get selected to the post of Probationary Officer in Public Sector Banks.

Penalty for Wrong Answers in IBPS PO Exams

0.25% marks is deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both IBPS PO Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. There will be no deduction of marks for a question left blank / unattempted by a candidate.

Written Skills in IBPS PO Exams

IBPS introduced Descriptive Paper in its Mains Examination just recently, where candidates are judged on their written skills. An essay and a letter will be given to candidates to write that will constitute of 25 marks and that has to be completed in a time span of 30 minutes.

Interview Pattern for IBPS PO Exams

Candidates who qualify the Mains Exam are finally called for the Interview Process by IBPS. The Interview Process will constitute of 100 marks and the minimum marks for qualifying this round will be 40% which is reduced to 35% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.
